'Spaceship' Futuro House Sold at Auction![]() One of the surviving spaceship-like Futuro houses built in Finland in the late 1960s was sold at auction in Paris Tuesday for 140,000 Euros. Designed by architect Matti Suuronen, the homes are now scattered around the world and are formed from fiberglass into the shape of a flying saucer. A door opens from the bottom of the structure to reveal stairs that lead up into the living space.
