The best way to determine if your rabbit is an herbivore or carnivore is to observe their diet. If they primarily eat grasses and leaves, they are probably an herbivore. Nathamon W. Good food, great price, my rabbit loves it!

Like any pet owners who want to give best things to their pets, I had tried to find good and nutritious dry food for my rabbit without breaking the bank. I tried Oxbow pellets (good but too pricey) and have given Kaytee Timothy Complete to my rabbit. I give him a 1/2 cup of dry food daily + unlimited hay. A 2 kilogram bag lasted only one month. A 4 kilogram bag of Kaytee Forti Diet's price is unbeatable, especially the fact that it is timothy hay based. No dried corns or any grains like other brands. The best part is its fiber is 18% which meets a minimum percentage for fiber. Again, a nutrition of this food might not be the best in comparison to Oxbow or Kaytee Timothy Diet, but it passes all minimum requirement percentages for rabbits' neccessary nutrition. My rabbit also loves it too. He eats colorful bits first and finishes the whole bowl by the end of each day. His poops are normal (round and dry). I will stick to this food and will buy it again.

This food was used to sustain three baby rabbits whose mother was killed by a dog. The rabbits, who were not used to pellet food, ate it very readily in just a couple of days, and it saved their lives. The smaller pellet size and great taste helped to entice them to eat, and the healthy ingredients helped them survive. The survival rate of orphaned rabbits is extremely low, and all three rabbits are alive and undergoing rehabilitation to be returned to the wild in a safe, dog-free location. These rabbits may not have survived without this tasty and healthy rabbit food.
